today!This Fuel Safety online course aims to provide forecourt operators with an understanding of the high-risk implications of selling fuel. The job of a forecourt operator is to ensure that their site is operated safely in accordance with the conditions of the Petroleum Regulations.
Completing this course is the perfect way to prove your knowledge of fuel safety. The certificate achieved is fully registered with the CPD Standards Office and endorsed by BIIAB.
You don’t need to have any previous fuel safety training to do this course.
In order to complete this course, you must achieve 70% or more in the final multiple-choice quiz.
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Recognise forecourt hazards and your responsibility to carry out safety checks
- Know how and when to use the tannoy
- Confidently authorise the pump, as well as ask for ID if a customer looks under 16 years of age
- Identify situations when the pump should not be authorised, for example when a customer is smoking or using a mobile phone
- Recognise the warning signs of a potential drive off before authorising the pump
- Deal immediately and safely with small and large spillages

Assessment:
Upon completion of the course, learners will complete an end of learning assessment consisting of 10 questions. 70% of the questions will need to be answered correctly in order to pass and receive a certificate.

The course is divided into simple sections with a short quiz at the end of each to test your knowledge. Once you have progressed through each of the course sections you can complete an end of course quiz which consists of multiple-choice questions based on the material that you have studied.
Once you have completed your eLearning you'll be able to download your fully accredited CPD certificate (PDF format) directly from your learning account.
